About Us

The Center for Nursing Excellence is born of the need for additional clinical space and predictable access to health care learning situations. It is an innovative solution that serves nursing students and practicing professionals from throughout south-central Wisconsin. The unique collaboration between educators and hospitals is also one of its strengths, combining the goals and resources of Edgewood College’s School of Nursing, Meriter Health Services and St. Mary’s Hospital.

In addition to its primary sponsors, the Center for Nursing Excellence is generously supported by Mortenson Investment Group and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

A board of directors, composed of two representatives from each of the funding partners, brings strategic vision to the Center while a full-time lab manager and part-time lab coordinator manage daily operations.
